The newest take on the B frame, the B-VI, continues to build upon that rebellious silhouette—and, in addition to the now-familiar flattened top and geometric cat-eye touches, this edition adds a sharp and distinctive, top-of-frame shielding visor, expertly carved from the thick and dense Japanese acetate that is used to craft every B-series frame. Balmain’s and Akoni Group’s mastery of jewel-like embellishment is evident in both the Balmain Monogram rivets and the signature B-Series hinge, which joins the powerful face of the frame to the substantial arms. Relying on a surprising nine links, that distinctive hinge riffs on both the celebrated savoir-faire of the Balmain Atelier and the powerful rock messaging of Olivier Rousteing.
